Maggie

Maggie McPherson

Fifty (or so) years ago Maggie, at the age of five, found herself in the role of a Christmas Cracker in a ballet class she was taking. That red tutu and the applause were all that was needed to plant the seed of dancing in her soul. From ballet classes she went on to Scottish country dancing lessons in school.

The lure of the big city of Vancouver beckoned to her and soon she was firmly planted on the west coast. Dancing was in her blood and before long she was enrolled in a tap class along with five and six year olds....she was running a daycare and went with the kids to class. She figured if they could learn, so could she! Maggie was back where she started.

Ten years ago Maggie and her sister Liz joined forces with RAZZMATAP. At first Maggie loved the dancing, but the performances...nauseating! She would find any excuse not to perform in public.

Countless practices and public performances have only served to reinforce her love of dance. She's not afraid anymore. At RAZZMATAP she feels like she has come "home" and loves every minute of the dancing and camaraderie.
